(no subject)

a question about a phrase that popped up in the source material for "The Ten Commandments" (movie version, w/Chuck "Damn Dirty NRA Spokesman" Heston that was on ABC last night)...

"flowing with milk and honey..." maybe I've been exposed to the wrong types of honey, but I can't say I've ever seen it "flow" per se. Ooze, yes, but never flow...was the honey mixed with the milk? did they dilute it down in those days? were the bees retaining water? what's the dealieo?
