OK, I've come up with a rye whiskey cocktail...
alcohol, booze
but it takes a little work on your part to prep the ingredients.

remember that Maple-Demerara sugar syrup I made for the Thanksgiving cocktails? You're gonna need some of that. Plus you'll need some apple cider, and you'll need to reduce it's volume by half over medium-high heat for a while, and then refrigerate it.

OK, here's the drink. I have absolutely no idea what to call it.

2 oz rye whiskey
3/4 oz apple cider reduction
1/4 oz Maple-Demerara sugar syrup
dash Angostura bitters

Shake all ingredients with ice, pour into a glass.
