don't really care what bridges I burn, cuz it's how I feel.

In much the same way as Thomas Jefferson declared he would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it, I declare I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much benevolence to my fellow man than too little.

And while we do not live in a perfect world, we should not cease to strive for one, and until then, I will do my part to achieve perfection by not contributing to the imperfection. I will not support business or politicians of the "Screw you, Jack, I've got mine" stripe, I will not be content if I have health care when others lack it, and I will not tolerate the notion that a representative government, one which we elect, is forever incapable of doing anything to benefit us. I trust the government to be a far more capable agent of positive change than any corporation; for a corporation is beholden to shareholders, a representative government only to its people.

So in conclusion, ladles and jellyspoons...whether you're a Republican, a libertarian, a Blue Dog Democrat, an outright coward, or just an opportunist with a corporate board backing you up, I say unto you, "Fuck you, you cretin, you're lower than pond scum, and deserve nothing from anyone with an ounce of clear thought and compassion but scorn and ridicule. Which I, for one, intend to give you, in spades, at every opportunity."
